Project Kuttenberg: Winning the Autonomous Surveillance Challenge
Štěpán Kaiser teamed up with his friend Roman Rozbroj to create an innovative fiber-optic surveillance network for autonomous drone ambush detection - and won the hackathon.

We're proud to announce that our founder Štěpán Kaiser, teaming up with his friend Roman Rozbroj, took first place at a major defense technology hackathon with their innovative Project Kuttenberg.
The Challenge
Executing drone ambushes traditionally relies on continuous manual surveillance of video feeds - an inefficient and time-intensive process that demands constant human attention and quick decision-making under pressure.
The Innovation: SR-1 Distributed Fiber-Optic Strike/Surveillance Network
Štěpán and Roman developed an automated monitoring system using advanced motion and object detection technology. Their solution creates a centralized dashboard of alerts, empowering operators to instantly review critical events and take immediate action.
How It Works
The system features two operational modes:
Autonomous Mission
Optical fiber-connected cameras run movement detection on ground stations (such as Raspberry Pi units), feeding real-time intelligence to a centralized command center.
Manual Mission
Operators can review the centralized dashboard of movement events and execute responses based on AI-detected threats with high confidence scores.
Key Features
- Real-time object detection and classification: Advanced AI algorithms identify and categorize threats instantly
- Automated threat alerts with confidence scoring: Prioritize responses based on AI confidence levels
- Centralized monitoring dashboard: Single command center for all surveillance feeds
- Scalable deployment architecture: Easily expand to cover larger areas
- Integration capability with remote drone control systems: Seamless connection with existing infrastructure
- Partnership potential with target lock solutions: Enhanced accuracy for response systems
Future Development
The winning solution demonstrates immense potential for scalable deployment in real-world defense scenarios. The team is exploring partnerships to integrate the system with remote drone control and advanced target lock technologies.
